Follow these tips for a longer-lasting, even-burning candle!

Safety First

Keep away from drafts, fans, and hot surfaces.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

The First Burn Matters

Burn for at least 2 hours to form a full melt pool.

An incomplete melt pool leads to tunneling, making relighting difficult.

Prepping Your Candle

Trim the wick to 1/4"–1/2" before lighting.

Hold a flame to the wick for about 20 seconds to ensure a steady burn.

Candle Memory & Tunneling

Candles remember their first burn—if not done properly, tunneling occurs.

Tunneling prevents the wick from getting enough wax and oxygen, leading to uneven burning.

What is a Melt Pool?

A melt pool is a layer of wax that fully liquefies across the top.

This takes about 2 hours—let it fully form before extinguishing the flame.
